Rebuilding Together Fox Valley Project Day

The Fox Valley SHRM Chapter along with Prospera Credit Union have invited the Appleton Fox Cities Kiwanis Club to volunteer on May 9, 2015, as they sponsor a home through the Rebuilding Together Fox Valley Project Day. 

For those of you that have never heard of this, here is a little bit about project day…Fox Valley SHRM & Prospera (among 14 other sponsors) sponsors a home and provides volunteers to help revitalize the home. There is a Team Leader from Prospera and a skilled Project Manager that help assign projects to the volunteers the day of and keeps them moving and working. The homeowner is on site with us all day and we really get to know them.

It’s important to note that all the repairs and revitalization they do are for low-income, with a special focus on elderly and veterans, and it’s provided free of cost! The homeowner does not pay anything for the repairs!

Pre-work and sign up
1.    Please follow this link http://www.signupgenius.com/go/805094baaab2c7-fvshrm1 to complete your name and the timeframe to  
which you are willing to commit.  This can be as little as four hours or as much as eight hours. Spouses and family are welcome to attend. (Children must be 14 years or older.) All participants must be listed here with completed registration by April 12, 2015.
  
 
The day of:

Lunch will be provided onsite.
All volunteers and their families, even if the family member(s) did not or could not volunteer, are invited to attend the Celebration Picnic that follows project day at Darboy Club. Food will be provided from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Darboy Club and a cash bar is available from 3 – 7 PM.
 
All volunteers will receive a Rebuilding Together Fox Valley Project Day t-shirt that MUST be worn onsite. (You must have waivers completed and have viewed the Safety PowerPoint before you will receive a t-shirt.) If the weather is cooler the t-shirt must be worn on the outside of warmer apparel, so please consider this when choosing your t-shirt size on the waiver form. Volunteers will receive TWO name tags when they arrive on site. Please write your first name in large letters and put one on the front of your shirt and the other on the back of your shirt.
