There were 38 members in attendance with Les and Mindy visiting from the Aktion Club. Many special occassions and happy dollars were shared. A can deposit of $66.20 was reported by acting secretary Sherry Palmer. Hollie reported that that Aktion Club is preparing for the Bell Tower Festival and Farmer's Markets. President Goshon announced that Kiwanis is assigned to paint for the Habitat for Humanity project in Jefferson on Jun 21st. Pat M. reported that we are in charge of cooking/serving for the July 8th Farmer's Market. Mark B. reported on the upcoming Bell Tower Festival food stand and passed around the sign-up sheet for workers. Members from the Greene County Motorcycle Charity offered collector Challenge Coins and Poker Run t-Shirts which they have for sale to club members in support of the Aktion Club.

Tim Christensen had the program today. He invited our own Mike Palmer to update us on City of Jefferson items. Mike spoke about the continued efforts to puchase run-down houses and clean up the properties. He also spoke about several city road resurfacing projects that have been done recently and funded by the one cent local option sales tax. He mentioned that this tax will be on the ballot in 2014 and asked for support to renew this tax as it allows for many projects to be completed that otherwise may not be funded.
