There were 29 members in attendance today. Visitors included Les & Mindy from the Aktion Club, Andrew & Margie Webb along with Melinda Heater were also guest today. Vern reported a can deposit of $66 for the last five days. Several happy dollars and special occasions were shared. President Monthei read an invitation from the Aktion Club to the movie "Where Hope Grows" at Sierra Theater on Saturday, Oct. 17th at 2:00 pm. Linda also mentioned that the Aktion Club is preparing for their upcoming Halloween Dance. Upcoming events include parking cars at homecoming Friday night and grilling this Saturday & Sunday for Deal's Orchard.

The Jefferson Kiwanis Club held their annual Officer Installation Ceremony on Wednesday, October 7th. Sherry Palmer was installed a the new club President. Dave Jaskey as President Elect and Mike Palmer as Vice President with Lt. Governor Andy Webb doing the installations. New board members are Bob Smith, Bill Monroe, Jack Fredrickson, and Loren Turner. Bill Raney served as the emcee for the event.
