There were 34 members in attendance today. Angie Oathaut was a guest of Bob Allen. Dean Rogers was inducted as a new member with sponsor Lisa Jaskey assisting. Verle reported a can deposit of $39.60. An interclub to Ames Golden K and Boone Noon is being planned by Vern F. for Sept. 15th. Matt Bradley and Tom Duncan leave this week for the Aktion Club convention in Indianapolis, IN.

President Miller introduced Jessica Wolf of the Aktion Club who spoke about their trip to Lincoln, NE for the NE/IA District Kiwanis Convention in August. Eleven club members and three sponsors attended the event. They received the award for the most members attending who traveled the longest distance to attend. They had the opportunity to meet Ms. America 2011 and had their photo taken with her. Thanks to Jessica and Pat for the report on their successful trip!
