There were 32 members in attendance today for the annual officer installation ceremony. Guests included Les and Mindy from the Aktion Club, Gerri Bugg and Jack Winkler from the Ames Kiwanis Club. President Goshon asked members to vote on the proposed club bylaws and this vote passed unanimously. Vern reported a can deposit $45.05. Hollie reported on the Aktion Club meeting from Monday. They nominated club officers and will hold an election on Oct. 5th. They are also busy planning for their Halloween Party. The club has been give the date of Saturday, Oct. 18th as our Habitat for Humanity work day.

 

Bill Raney served as the Master of Ceremonies for the Officer Installation. Bill introduced the head table and our Division 11 Lt. Governor Gerri Bugg from Ames. Gerri acknowledged outgoing board members, Tim Buenz, Dave Jaskey, and Mike Palmer for their service. She also installed new board members, Dan Benitz, Deb Geisler, and Tom Heater. Randy Monthei was installed as the new club president. Serving with Randy will be Sherry Palmer as President Elect, Dave Jaskey as Vice President, Marla Siruta as Secretary, and Bob Schwarzkopf as Treasurer. Outgoing President Goshon was presented a plaque by Bill Raney during the ceremony. Thanks to Denny for a great year!

Gerri also spoke about the Division 11 motto of: "Win what is important now!" and the following goals:
-Eliminate Project
-Club Growth
-Kiwanis 100th Anniversary
