There were 32 members present and 3 guests. Lt. Gov. Gary Wade visited our club today from Ames. He'll be back Oct. 6th for the Officer Installation. Harry reported $130.15 in cans were deposited. President Linda reported on the Farmer's Market, upcoming birthdays and anniversaries. A board meeting will be held Friday. Sept. 3rd.

Vern Foje had the program today. He invited Collin Smith to talk about cart racing. Collin is a 7th grader at JSMS and had his micro sprint car on display during the recent "Hot Summer Nights" car show. Collin discussed his racing background, his vehicles, and showed some safety equipment. Collin's parents were also in attendance for his program. Thanks to Collin and Vern for a very interesting program!
