Weekly Kiwanis News 8/20

There were 24 members in attendance and two visitors from the Aktion Club. A can deposit of $48 was reported. The Aktion Club is planning a picnic on August nth at Spring Lake. A thank you was signed for the Carroll RPM club that donated back their prize money from the Hot August Night event to the Kiwanis! Discussed the possibility that Kiwanis may grill at Deal's Orchard on Oct. 8th & 9th. The next Kiwanis board meeting is September 5th at the Uptown Café.

 

Dave Jaskey had the program today.  He invited Laine Custer and Shelly Berger to speak on Disaster preparedness and the medical reserve core.  They are actively informing people and looking for volunteers to get involved, there are many aspects in this program that we don’t really think about, such as food, location setup, teardown and cleaning. Very informative program on a serious necessity for our county and beyond!
