There were 29 members in attendance and two guests, Les Reinhart and Matt Paulsen. Vern reported a can deposit of $57.75 for the last six days. President Goshon discussed the Governor's visit to Nevada and asked for members to interclub on July 8th. Linda reported that the Aktion Club popcorn popper is fixed and they used it last Tuesday at the Farmer's Market. Aktion Club is also painting and assembling two picnic table for Genesis. Tom mentioned that the sign-up sheet for workers needed for the food stand at the fair will be available next week. It was reported by President Goshon that 5 members worked at the Habitat house last Saturday. Pat sent around a sign-up sheet for Farmer's Market workers and bakers on July 8th. Bob Allen presented the club with a donation of $200 from Wild Rose for the clubs work during the gaming commission visit to Jefferson.

 

Vern Foje had the program today. He introduced Michael Cooley, Coordinator of the Greene County division of the ISU Extension & Outreach. Michael talked about the mission of the extension and some of the programs that are in place and staff that works for the organization. Michael administered a needs assessment for the county during his visit with club members. The results will provide direction for the group over the next 3 years. The needs assessment will gather data from 300-500 county residents in order to help with programming. Thanks to Vern and Michael for the interesting program.
