There were 30 members in attendance today with Les & Mindy visiting from the Aktion Club. President Monthei announced that the July board meeting will be postponed until Friday, July 10th. Vern reported a can deposit of $65.65. Bob reported that tentative numbers from the Bell Tower Festival food stand indicate around $2,800 net. President Monthei reported that he and Dan Benitz worked with Dan Towers Saturday to restore the Kiwanis rest stop near the river on the Raccoon Valley bike trail. There will be a Genesis picnic on July 2nd at Spring Lake.
 
Tom Duncan had the program today. He spoke about the Aktion Club's planned trip to the Training & Leadership Conference in Indianapolis, IN this weekend. Tom & Hollie will be taking five Aktion Club members tp participate in the conference. He thanked the Kiwanis Club for the matching funds of $700 donated to match recent Aktion Club dance ticket sales. He also thanked the BTF Cycle group for their donation of $2,000 from the recent motorcycle events held during the Bell Tower Festival. Members will depart at 5am for the 540 mile trip to Indianapolis on Thursday. They will attending opening ceremonies on Thursday evening and various sessions and workshops through Saturday morning. They plan to return to Jefferson late Saturday night. Next week's program hopefully will be a recap their conference experiences! Thanks to Tom for the update and safe travels!
