There were 36 members in attendance with Adam Huen visiting as a guest of Bob Allen and Les Reinhart from the Aktion Club. Vern F. reported a can deposit of $40 this week. Hollie reported that the Aktion Club met on Monday and that they were presented a certificate from Teen Maze for their help with that event. They also discussed upcoming events including Memorial Day flag raising and the Bell Tower Festival. Hollie also mentioned that they raised around $1,500 for Relay for Life. The membership voted to approve the following slate of officers for the 2013-14 year. Vice-President: Sherry Palmer, Treasurer: Bob Schwarzkopf, Board of Directors: Kirk Hammer, Vicky Lautner, and Rod Kleitsch. Randy M. reported that we have submitted an application and payment to be a vendor at Guthrie Center on July 22 for Ragbrai.

Everett Beebe had the program today, he introduced John Brunow who discussed the upcoming Iowa Bike Festival to be held May 25th in Jefferson. The 2013 Iowa Bicycle Festival will be bigger and better than the first Iowa Bicycle Festival held in 2012. Whether it's a parade, a juried art show, a steel band, food vendors, bike vendors, a fashion show or working with a graffiti artist to paint a team bus, everything about the Festival is FUN.
