Derrik Bauer had the program today. He showed us the new JAWS of Life combination tool that was recently purchased by the fire department. He shared that this new tool is more powerful than the previous model that is still used by the department. The cost of the new JAWS was $16,000 and was funded from a variety of fundraising activities. Their goal is to also add a $7,000 cutter tool within the next year. Derrik shared that there are 28 members in the local volunteer department with many younger members. Only 8-9 members have 5 years or more experience with the department. Thanks Derrik for the update and being a volunteer firefighter!
