Bob Allen introduced Iowa Senator Charles Grassley who shared lots of information with members. He stated that he spends 42 weeks out of the year in Washington, DC and spends several weeks back in Iowa doing town hall meetings. The major issues facing congress between now and July 4th in his opinion are the Farm Bill and Immigration. He took many questions from club members and visitors on a variety of topics. His best quote of the day was "The tax code is thicker than the Bible, and there is no good news in it". Thanks to Bob and Senator Grassley for the very interesting program!!
