There were 37 members present today with Les Reinhart visiting from the Aktion Club. Happy Birthday to charter member Dean McAtee! The activity account is flush today with a record number of happy dollars donated. Vern reported that he is hoarding the can deposit funds in a secure location and will report a total next week. A report was heard on another successful Teen Maze. Thanks to the club members who participated. President Goshon reminded members of a board meeting on Friday.

Greene County chief deputy Jack Williams had the program today. He spoke about his work as the K-9 handler for the department and introduced members to his partner Leo. Leo is a 2 1/2 year old German Shepherd who was born in Czechoslovakia and came to the Midwest K9 Consulting in Pleasant Hill, IA to be trained. Leo is certified in narcotics detection, tracking, handler protection, building searches, area searches, and evidence searches. Since joining the department in February, Leo has been very productive with several drug busts. Thanks to Jack and Leo for a great program!!
