There were 31 members in attendance today. Many happy dollars were shared along with one bad joke from President Goshon. Bob S. reported a can deposit of $68.60. Reminder that the board of directors will meet on Friday at 7:00am and all members are invited to attend.

Loren Turner had the program today. He introduced Mark Lane from AAI-Spalding in Jefferson. Mark provided some history of the company and also shared that AAI will be celebrating their 60th anniversary this year. AAI employs around 106 people at its Jefferson location. They are part of the Fruit of Loom manufacturing division. Fruit of the Loom has approximately 33,000 employees and is headquartered in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Russell Brands, which acquired the local company in 2004 has recently tapped AAI to manufacture Russell Athletics's new Carbontek OST shoulder pads. The pads reduce the energy of contact by 30-40 percent and weigh significantly less than typical shoulder pads. Thanks to Loren and Mark for a very informative program!
