There were 28 members in attendance with guest Les Reinhart visiting from the Aktion Club. President-elect Denny Goshon called the meeting to order. Many happy dollars were shared by members. Linda S. reported on the Aktion Club happenings. They are busy planning for Relay for Life. They are also working with the ARC Food Pantry and planning to donate $50/month to that organization. They are planning a Valentines Party and will have their next meeting on Feb. 18th. Sherry P. reported on the sign-up for Spouse's Night which is Feb. 23rd. Please contact Sherry to sign-up. There are about 14 couples signed-up as of today. Bill R. reported on the Live Healthy Iowa competition after one week and awarded Vicky L. a prize for her efforts.
 

Hollie Roberts had the program today. She introduced Deb Morton from the GCMC Physical Therapy department. Deb showed a video and spoke about the new AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill that will be coming to GCMC this month. The AlterG Anti-Gravity Treadmill is a medical device that can be used for:

  • Rehabilitation of lower extremity injuries
  • Treatment of neurological conditions
  • Weight reduction
  • Aerobic conditioning
  • General training to combat the diseases of aging

 The AlterG anti-gravity treadmill which costs around $48,000 is the focus of the GCMC Foundation's Annual Campaign. Thanks to Hollie and Deb for a very interesting program!
