There were 29 members present at the meeting today. President Miller mentioned upcoming special occasions and events. Hollie mentioned that the Aktion Club is busy raising funds for Relay for Life. Four grillers volunteered for the JS Coaches Clinic on Saturday, March 5th. Dean McAtee invited the club members to Business After Hours on Wednesday, March 2nd from 5-7pm to celebrate their 45th year in business.

Bob Schwazkopf had the program today. Julie Neal and Michele Hardin from the Jefferson-Scranton Elem. School spoke about the recent funding changes in the federal RIF program. They plan to have at least 2 book distributions this school year to around 400 TK-4 elementary students at a cost of approximately $2,800 total. The Kiwanis board will consider a donation at a future meeting. Thanks to Bob, Julie and Michele for the update on RIF!
