Weekly Kiwanis News 2/11

There were 30 members in attendance with Les and Brenda visiting from the Aktion Club. President-Elect Sherry Palmer called the meeting to order. She announced that she has some weekly program leads if anyone needs one, please contact her. There was no can deposit report. Several happy dollars and special events were shared.

Linda Spearman had the program today She introduced Dianne & Julie Blackmer to speak about the Greene County ARC Food Pantry. The food pantry was founded 25 years ago by a coalition of churches.The organization has grown from serving 30-40 families a month to 100 families (or 250-300 people) per month. ARC relies on the many volunteers who help with various tasks weekly to serve the citizens of Greene County. Thanks to Linda, Julie, and Dianne for the update on the excellent program!
