There were 32 members in attendance today. President Christensen reminded members about the board meeting on Friday and Sheriff Tom Heater's retirement reception on Saturday, Dec 8th. A one week can deposit of $31.75 was reported. Vern and Bob are planning an interclub to Ames Golden K and Boone Noon on December 13th. Vern reported that so far the Salvation Army Bell Ringing has raised $2,134.00. Good job! The Aktion Club had a meeting last Monday and is busy ringing bells and getting ready for their Christmas Picnic and gift exchange at the Elks on Dec.17th.
 
Karen Pope had the program today. She invited Aktion Club Brenda Batschelet to talk about her trip to Washington, DC. Brenda was invited to the White House as one of 14 Champions of Change whose life-changing deeds represent those preformed by nearly 600,000 Kiwanians worldwide. Brenda was recognized for her involvement in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in Greene County. Brenda spoke about her experiences in Washington, DC and shared many photos with club members. Thanks to Karen, Linda S., Tom, and Brenda for a great program!
