Bill Raney had the program today. He introduced Jim Daubendiek who spoke about the Sierra Community Theatre in Jefferson. The theatre building was recently donated to the community by Fridley Theatre's who owns 135 theaters in Iowa and Nebraska. Fridley chose not to upgrade the equipment to current standards, so a non-profit corporation was formed locally to take possession, make the required technology upgrades, and make it into a first class theater for the county. "See You at the Movies" is their capital campaign slogan. They are seeking donations to cover the cost of the equipment upgrades and maintenance of the building. With 3D capability, digital projection and the best 7.1 Dolby sound, Sierra Community Theatre brings the latest releases and great entertainment to Greene County! More information can be found on their website or on Facebook. Thanks to Bill and Jim for a very interesting program!
