Sherry Palmer had the program today and invited Aaron Schroeder, president of Slininger Rossow Funeral Home to speak.  Aaron shared has background and educational information with us. Slininger-Rossow Funeral Home is the established, deep rooted funeral home in Jefferson. It was instituted by Clyde L. Slininger in 1919 and has been serving Greene County and the surrounding area since then. In 1920 Mr. Slininger built the stately mortuary of Spanish architecture where it still stands today on the corner of Lincolnway and Vine.  Aaron grew up in Jefferson and graduated from high school in 1993. He moved back to Jefferson in 2000 with his family and purchased the funeral home in 2008. Aaron shared funeral planning information with members and a few stories! Slininger-Rossow averages around 80 funerals a year and nationwide nearly 30% are cremations, which is predicted to grow to 50% by 2025.  Thanks Sherry and Aaron for a very interesting (lively!) program.
