There were 30 members in attendance today with guests Andy McGinn and Les Reinhart visiting the club. Vern reported a cam deposit of $55.15. Linda reported on the Aktion Club meeting from last week. They will be serving popcorn this Sunday on the square and having a Christmas party/caroling on Dec. 16th. Vern reported the total collected by Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army is $1,820 so far. It was also noted that 90% of the funds raised stay in Greene County. Vern reminded members that the Blood Mobile will be held at the GCMC Public Health on Dec. 10th. President Goshon reminded members that we need to sign up for Bell Ringing on Dec. 13/14 and that there is a board meeting this Friday morning.

Dick Pound had the program today. He invited Roger Aegerter, Director of the Greene County Historical Society to speak about their programming. Roger shared that there have been 1,465 visitors this year and 1,280 hours volunteered. The local society is non-profit and generates funding from dues and support of the county supervisors. Roger shared information about programs that have been offered this past year and plans for next year. The theme for next year is "Growing Up In Greene County/Greene County Heritage". They have some new video interviews with folks born and raised in Greene County on their Facebook page. You can also visit their website for membership and exhibit information.
