There were 36 members present today and 3 guests. Welcome to Brenda B., Julie B., and Melinda H. Verle reported a can deposit of $80.15. Kirk Hammer was inducted as a new Jefferson Kiwanis Club member, please welcome Kirk to the club! Linda S. reported that the Aktion Club Hat & Mitten tree will be going up in the courthouse after Thanksgiving. President Heater reported on the letter of support for the Jefferson Main Street project that is being drafted. He also mentioned that Hollie, Karen, and Pat have volunteered to be our representative for the Teen Maze.

Amy Milligan had the program today. She arranged to have Jessica Savits (President Heater's daughter) visit with us about her profession of Court Reporter/Stenographer. Jessica talked about the education required to be a Stenographer and skills required. They have to be able to type 225 words per minute with no more than three errors! Jessica brought her equipment along and gave us a live demonstration of her trade. Club members asked many questions...Thanks to Amy and Jessica for a very interesting program!
