There were 35 members in attendance today with Les Reinhart visiting from the Aktion Club. Everett B. reported a can deposit of $63.15. This was the second week for Food Pantry donations from club members. Vern F. reported that $204 was collected from members plus 20 food items. John M. reported that he attended the food packaging event in Boone last weekend and that they prepared over 650,000 meals that filled two semi trailers. Linda S. reported that the Aktion Club will meet next Monday. President Christensen shared an invitation to Greene County Sheriff Tom Heater's retirement party (36 yrs. of service) on Dec. 8th from 2-4pm at the Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
 
Mike Palmer had the program today. He introduced Gabe Nelson, Civil Engineer from Synder & Associates who spoke about the Train Quiet Zone Improvement Project. A study of the crossing was done in 2007 with a goal of quiet zone implementation after the overpass project was completed. He discussed the various options that are available and safety measures that could be implemented. Thanks to Mike and Gabe for a very interesting program!
