There were 34 club members in attendance today and one guest, Aktion Club member Les Reinhart. Kirk Hammer was a guest of President Heater and expressed an interest in joining the club! Harry reported a can deposit of $46.10. Rick reported on the Kiwanis Pancake breakfast. He thanked everyone for their help and reported over 400 people were served with an estimated $1,800 profit from the event. Great job Rick!

Linda reported on the Aktion Club happenings. They served over 250 bags of popcorn during Trick or Treat on the square. The popcorn for their events has been donated by Wells Fargo. Eight Aktion Club members assisted at the pancake breakfast and did a great job! They will be working on the yard at the Genesis home at 712 S. Elm Street Saturday morning at 8:00am if you can assist. They also will have their Eliminate fundraising dance this Sunday from 1-5pm at the Elk's Lodge. 

 
John Meyer had the program today. He introduced LeRoy Tinnean from "The Gardens" Assisted Living community in Jefferson. Assisted Living provides a combination of housing, supportive services, and personal health care designed to respond to the needs of individuals who require assistance with activities of daily living. There are 38 apartments in the complex, with 33 currently in use. There are 25 full and part-time employees at the Gardens. LeRoy shared some of the upcoming events and answered questions from club members. LeRoy and his wife Nancy (Gardens Marketing) have lived in Panora since 1993.
