Mike Palmer had the program today. He spoke about the LOSST (Local Option Sales & Service Tax) tax that will be on the ballot in November for renewal. The LOSST 1% tax generates about $360,000 per year currently for the city. Most of the funds have been used in street projects (including sidewalks, street resurfacing/paving) and some was used in downtown restoration. If the tax is approved it will be extended another 10 years. Mike showed many photos of projects that have been accomplished in the past few years. Thanks to Mike for an informative program!
