Lisa Jaskey had the program today. She introduced Christy Heath from the Life Connections office here in Jefferson. Life Connections is a family oriented agency in Iowa. They provide services throughout the state to individuals and families, and are continually expanding our service area. Their programs include therapy, skill building, and other family focused services. She discussed a book titled, Building Resilience in Children and Teens which offers strategies to help kids from 18 months to 18 years build seven crucial “Cs” — competence, confidence, connection, character, contribution, coping, and control — so they can excel in life and bounce back from challenges. Thanks to Lisa and Christy for an informative program!
