There were 32 members in attendance today with Lt. Governor Judy Melcher from Nevada visiting. President Heater opened the meeting by welcoming Judy. He reminded members that the Greene County Fair is Fri-Sun of this week. Sign-up sheets were passed around and workers are still needed for all days. Dan shared the results from the Skills USA National competition in Kansas City. Congratulations to Dan, Kurtis Rice, and all other students that placed from Greene County. Pat reported on the Farmer's Market grilling from Tuesday evening. We grilled 143 hamburgers for the event which was well attended. Pat thanked all those that helped and provided cookies. Randy reminded club members about the Ragbrai food stand on July 24th in Farnhamville. Workers will be needed on July 23rd at 3:00pm for setup also.

Vern Foje had the program today. He lined up Bonnie Orris from GCMC to visit with members about Malignant Melanoma. Bonnie stressed that it is a different kind of cancer, you need to catch it early, and that you should check your skin/moles regularly. She also talked about sunscreen and the benefits it provides. Bonnie shared this video "Dear 16-year-old Me" about Malignant Melanoma. Thanks Vern and Bonnie for a very informative program!!
