There were 42 members in attendance today and one guest. Bob Schwarzkopf introduced his guest Rod Kleitsch. Welcome Rod! We hope you come back again. Vern announced a can deposit of $66.65. Randy and Deb attended the Ragbrai 2012 meeting in Farnhamville. The club is planning to reserve two booths and serving food on Tuesday, July 24th. Linda reported that the Aktion Club will be raising flags on Saturday at 9:00am and will also sell popcorn during the Iowa Bike Festival. They are also planning a picnic on May 30th at Spring Lake. Tim B. thanked workers for their help at the Construction Open House on Tuesday evening. Vern reported that donations totaled around $1,300 before expenses to support the JSHS Skills USA students during their June trip to Kansas City.

Shannon Black had the program today. She introduced City Administrator Mike Palmer who spoke about some of the things happening in the city (there are so many good things happening!). Mike discussed the following topics using a powerpoint presentation:

-House Demolition
-Code Enforcement
-Curb Appeal
-Future
