There were 34 members in attendance today. President Heater reminded members about the Board meeting on Friday. Hollie reported that several Aktion Club members will attend a mini-conference in Council Bluffs this weekend. She also spoke about a mini-conference on April 14th that will be held in Jefferson. She reminded club members that there will be a special presentation made to one of our club members at the Aktion Club's Feb. 20th meeting. She encouraged all members to attend this presentation. Sherry reminded members to register online for Spouse's Night. We will need more participation for the event to move forward.

Ashley Schwander had the program today. She invited Jennifer Peter, Principal at the Grandwood Education Center in Woodward to speak to us. Jennifer spoke about their school which serves 35-40 students, ages 9-21 with special needs. Their major areas of programming include:

Community and Leisure Experiences
Functional Academics and Living Skills
Pre-Vocational and Vocational
Social Skills through Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports

She shared their need for a new playground at the school and talked about the fundraising that has taken place so far. Thanks Ashley & Jennifer for a very interesting program!
