There were 31 members in attendance today and 2 guests. Les Reinhardt joined us from the Aktion Club and Pastor Emmert shared the good news that the efforts in Greene County raised $6,500 for the Salvation Army! Thanks to all who served on the committee and donated time to ring the bell. President Heater reminded members of the Board Meeting on Friday and the Division Council meeting on Saturday morning in Ames.

Dick Pound had the program today. He invited fellow Kiwanian Ken Paxton. Ken updated us on activities to keep Greene County visible to outside companies and organizations. The Main St. Iowa presentation is Jan. 12th and we are anxiously awaiting their grant awards announcements. Others topics included a conference center, covered horse arena, and upgrades to Super8 in Jefferson. Ken also added that bus trips to visit Jefferson have grown from 3 several years ago to a planned 30 visits this year! Thanks to Ken and Dick for the informative program!
