Ron Miller, our president, presided over our meeting today. Thanks to all who attended.
Our 13th Annual Half Marathon and 5 KM Fun Run was held on Sunday September 21st. It was the biggest turn out that we have had to date. We had a total of 593 registered runners. Half Marathon 428 and 5 Km Fun Run 165. The run was successful and a big thank you to everyone who helped to make the run a success
Our meeting today was doing a debriefing on our Half Marathon and 5 Km Run while it was still fresh in everyone's mind. Several ideas were suggest that we could look at for our next run. For example - more volunteers are needed for the setup on Saturday, less people along the run in some areas and more people in other areas. Steve and Ron made a list so they can be considered for next year.
The Winnipeg Rotary Clubs had a President's meeting a few weeks ago. Kathy Cano represented our club. Some items that came from this meeting that are coming up soon are:
-October 30th - Paul Harris Dinner, we need to select 2 people for a Paul Harris award. people that we recognize as leaders in the community. They do not need to be Rotarians. Our Club will recognize Mary Dempster and Kevin Schultz
-November 6th - Scotch tasting - St Boniface Club
- A reminder to all Rotarians - the Rotary Learning Centre is an excellent source of information about Rotary.
Our next board meeting will be Monday October 20, 2025 at Rotary Villa.
Sergeant-at-Arms:
Ted McIntosh will be our Sergeant-at-Arms for the rest out our current Rotary year.
The weekly accumulator draw was for $33.00, Ted McIntosh drew the Queen of Clubs.

Until further notice our meetings will be held at Rotary Villa, 528 Hudson Street, Winnipeg, MB. We had a conversation with the school next door and they have agreed that we can park at the school on Mondays when we have our meetings. They have asked that we park in the middle area, as the perimeter parking is for staff.
Rotary meeting dates until end of 2025 will be as follows:
Meeting Dates in October - 6th & 20th. Oct. 20th will also be a board meeting
Meeting Dates in November - 3rd & 17th. Nov. 17 will also be a board meeting
Meeting Date in December - 1st & 15th. Dec 15th will also be a board meeting
