Our president, Jeff Miller opened the meeting with the signing of O Canada and Rotary Grace.

Announcement
  • District Governor will visit our club on October 5th. We are hoping for a large
member turn out for our District Governor visit.
  • Our next board meeting will be held on October 5th at 11 AM.
  • There will no meeting on October 12th because of the Thanksgiving Day Holiday.

The weekly accumulator draw this week – There wasn’t a draw this week because we wanted to give as much time as possible to our guest speaker.
Guest Speaker:  Our Guest Speaker Mr. Ed Schreyer was introduced by Steve Demmings. Mr. Schreyer spoke about the need to be more aware of environmental costs when we are logging, mining or developing hydro power and to remember that our resources are not limitless. Actual costs of projects should be looked at and we should only proceed with projects that are economically feasible.  His message was well received. Nazir Ahmad thanked Mr. Schreyer for speaking at our club.
