Happy Bucks: Roger, Russ, Shelly, Joanne and Don
The weekly accumulator draw this week was for $152. Pat O’Connor drew the Queen of Clubs.
Guest Speaker: Rob Riopel, District Governor. Rob was introduced by Joanne Gordon. Rob spoke about the power of Rotary and gave some examples like wells in Africa so women do not have to walk three miles for water. In Sri Lanka were the rebels agreed to stop fighting for three days so Polio vaccinations could be given to the children. He also spoke about what RI president had to say. For Rotary to stay relative we need to start thinking outside the box. Each club needs to keep their members engaged. We need to be more vocal about what Rotary does and what rotary stands for. If a member leaves we should find out why and what in their opinion we can do to better meet the needs of our members. Steve Gallagher thanked Rob for taking the time to come visit us.
