 Announcements       
  • This year our Half Marathon and 5 KM run will be on Sunday September 16, 2018. The donation from Calm Air, Two tickets to Churchill, will be given to the 1st finishers for men and women in the Half Marathon. Second place finishers for both Male and Female will received two tickets anywhere Calm Air flies.
  • Membership Invoices were sent to all members on June 12, 2018.  Several Members still haven’t paid their membership for 2018 -2019 membership fees are now due. This year, we have another payment option, you can pay your Membership Dues by E-transfer by sending your E-Transfer to martinjcoward@gmail.com.
  • Paul Harris invoices were sent to members on July 9, 2018. Paul Harris invoices are now due.
  • Volunteers are still needed for the Half Marathon. Members who can help but have not yet advised us, should contact Hal Brownlee via e-mail at hal_brownlee@gmail.com
  • There will be a BBQ at Rotary Villa on September 25, 2018 at 4 PM Members are invited to attend. If anyone would like to help with the cooking let Shelley know. After the BBQ there will be a Rotary Villa board meeting.
  • On Sunday November 11th we will once again be having our Remembrance Day Service at Rotary Villa. Lunch will be at Noon, with the service to follow at 1 PM. All Rotarians are invited to attend.
  • At our board meeting today we discussed the couple of issues that Nazir brought before our meeting a couple of weeks ago. With regard to a prelude to our Rotary meetings acknowledging Treaty 1 Lands. It was decided that we would not do this at this time. With regards to capital project – permanent toilets downtown, Hal will discuss this at the president forum, we would move forward based on what is decided.

  Guest Speaker: Barry Hartley gave a short Craft Talk. He spoke about growing up in Winnipeg, his work life and the time he has spent with Rotary, the number of positions that he has held, he is a double Paul Harris Member.
  Up Coming Events:
Half Marathon and 5 KM run will be on September 16, 2018. Volunteers are still needed. Contact Hal Brownlee if you can help.
Volunteer evening will be at Holiday Inn South Wednesday September 1th at 5:30 PM. This is when you will be given your assignments for Sunday and pick up your T-Shirts.
