The weekly accumulator draw this week was for $27.00. Jeff Miller drew the Jack of Clubs

Guest Speaker: our guest speaker, Will Miller, was introduced by Pat O’ Connor. Will spoke about Agape Mexico and how much it impacts the lives of the people that they serve. In addition to the Breakfast that Agape provides on Saturday mornings they are also teaching the kids Respect, Hygiene and provide them with washrooms. The washrooms have a separate area for boys and girls. The improvements that can be seen in the kid’s lives is encouraging and Agape is hoping to offer more in the future. Some things being considered are Food Banks and reducing poverty by teaching women skills so they have means of supporting their families.  If anyone wants to donate things like travel size toothpaste, shampoo etc. or eyeglasses. Please contact Pat O’Connor via e-mail and he could put you in contact with Will. Or you could bring donations to the Rotary meeting.

  Up Coming Events

On Friday November 11, 2016 we will be having Remembrance Day Service at Rotary Villa at Noon followed by a lunch. Members who will be attending should notify Martin Coward by Friday November 4th so we can get a good idea how much food we will need.

No meeting Monday November 7, 2016.

 

Starting in October we will have one meeting a month in the morning instead of at Noon. Our First morning meeting will be October 24, 2016 at 7 AM. These morning meetings will all be held on Monday mornings at 7 AM in the room at the back of the restaurant at the Holiday Inn South. Morning meeting for November will be November 21^st and for December, December 19^th.
