Our President, Steve Gallagher, opened the meeting with the singing of O’Canada and Rotary Grace .

Announcements.
- We received a thank you note from the Bruce Oake Foundation for our donation.
- Teddy Bear Picnic was held on Sunday May 28th. A big thank you to all the volunteers who came out to help. Weather did not cooperate so the attendance was down compared to previous years. A special thank you to Jeff Miller who spearheads this project for us.
- We will be sponsoring a two person team from Fort Richmond Collegiate for MUNA. The students who we will be sponsoring are Mirha Zohair and Jordyn Lafreniere.
- R.I. Conference will be held in Atlanta, Georgia June 10 – 16, 2017. Registration is now available through the RI website.
- Our Half Marathon and 5 KM race will take place on Sunday September 17, 2017.

The weekly accumulator draw this week was for $56. Ted Foreman drew the Ten of Hearts
Guest Speaker: Philipa Caplan and Tom Scott from MacDonald Youth Services were our guest speakers. Philipa spoke about the various programs that they have at MacDonald Youth Services. They offer Hope, Health, and Opportunity to youth. They operate in The Pas, Thompson and Winnipeg. The have 12 Group styled homes in Winnipeg and another three in Thompson. Group homes are for people that are 18 – 29. They teach the people in these group home life skills such as how to cook, budget, open and maintain a bank account. On job training through volunteering and mentorship. Macdonald Youth Services also have an emergency shelter that can accommodate eight beds. These beds are meant for sport stays like a few hours to two or three days. Macdonald Youth Services try and look after youth in need from early age until 18. Jeff Miller thanked Philipa and Scott for taking the time to come and speak with us.
