President, Jeff Miller opened the meeting with the singing of O Canada and Rotary Grace.
Announcements:
- Next meeting will be Monday May 25, 2015, our meeting will be back in our regular room at Holiday Inn South.
- Next Board meeting will be Monday May 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM
- 2015 Rotary District 5550 Conference will be held June 18, 19, 20, 21 in Nipawin SK. There is a link on the District 5550 web-site or go to http://rotary5550conference.ca. The club would like for at least for two people to attend. Jeff Miller advises that he will attend.
- Goodwill weekend Sept. 17 – 19 at Norwood Hotel
- District 5550 Rotary Alumi Reunion will take place August 28 – 30 2015 in Winnipeg at Norwood Hotel and the Forks (Ribfest.). Tentative registration fee is $95 per person.
- Teddy Bear Picnic Sunday August 30, 2015.Our Rotary Club will be the only Rotary Club this year at the Teddy Bear Picnic. We will need Volunteers, as many as possible. Anyone wishing to volunteer can contact Martin Coward. If anyone wants more information about the Teddy Bear picnic they can contact Stuart Pudavick. Volunteers are asked to park in the Zoo parking lot. Winnipeg police will be on hand and will issue tickets to people illegally parked.
Nazir Ahmad give an update on our Paul Harris initiative, we required one more member so Scott Anderson volunteered to be that person.

Guest Speaker, Wesley Hazlitt, was introduced by Ron Miller. Wesley gave a very informative talk on 21 ways to make your website ROCK. Some of the topics her covered were Website should be accessible by all devices, Should have address, phone number, map Video and should have regular updates. Nazir Ahmad thanked Wesley for his presentation.
