Guest Speaker: Habee Allimson will talk about Craft Talk Nigeria
 Our group for lunch on March 22, 2017 was very small, so we proceeded directly to lunch.
We were pleased to welcome Ayo, Habee’s Dad
Announcements.
  • This year we will be sponsoring Divjyot Grewal for the 2017 Rotary Adventure in Citizenship Program in Ottawa.
  • We will also be sponsoring a two person team from Fort Richmond Collegiate for MUNA.
  • District 5550 Conference will be held in Kenora May 25 – 28, 2017.Registriation is available on the website.
  • Teddy Bear picnic will be held on Sunday May 28, 2017. Volunteers will be needed.
  • R.I. Conference will be held in Atlanta, Georgia June 10 – 16, 2017. Registration is now available through the RI website.
  • Our Half Marathon and 5 KM race will take place on Sunday September 17, 2017.

           The weekly accumulator draw this week was for $122.00. Habee drew the Ace of Clubs.
Guest Speaker: David and Crystal from Rotary Villa was introduced by Ron Miller.  David Hood thanked our club for our donation and for our continued support of Rotary Villa. David spoke about the things that he and Crystal have been doing, and will continue to do,A so that the residents will feel more like a community. They have activities most days during the week. They have a breakfast club that meets weekly, they also have pot Luck supper once a month. All birthdays for the month are celebrated on one day during that month. They are continuing to get the residents more involved. To help with improving the life of their residents going forward they plan on, getting residents more involved, Having Garden plots that the residents can use to grow vegetables during the summer and getting the outside community involved. Rotary Villa has 123 Suites most of which are currently occupied. Jeff Miller thanked David and Crystal for taking the time to come and talk to us                                                         
  Up Coming Events
Teddy Bear Picnic will be held on May 28, 2017. Volunteer opportunities will be available.
We have a couple of positions open on the Executive Committee for 2017-2018 these positions are Rotary International and Public Relations. If anyone is interested in either of these positions please contact Martin Coward or Steve Gallagher
We have decided to continue with our once morning a month meeting. The idea was to have the morning meeting on the third Monday of each month but because of holidays this will not always be possible. So the dates for the morning meetings for the next six months are:
