We were pleased to welcome Cilla and Mary Dempster and Nabonita Sarker from Fort Richmond High School.
Ron Miller, our president, presided over our meeting today. Thanks to all who attended.
We held our first lunch at the Caboto Center. We had a really great turnout and everything went reasonable well, some minor adjustments will be made with the timing of the lunch
For lunch meetings at the Caboto Centre the cost be $25.00
Rotary International Convention 2025 will be held in Calgary June 21 - 25, 2025. This is a great change for Rotarians to attend an International Conference that is being held so close to Winnipeg. We will send you more information as it becomes available
Our Half Marathon and 5 KM fun run will be held on Sunday September 22, 2024. Registration is now open.
Aven Fengwen has decided to become a member of our club.
Still trying to get a date and time for our Marathon meeting to be held in the next week or so at Thomas Design.

Happy Bucks: Ron, Shelley and Don contributed to Happy Bucks.
The weekly accumulator draw was for $163.00 Mary Dempster drew the Queen of Spades and won the 50/50 draw. Starting with the new draw we will change the lucky card to the King of Spades.
Speaker: Nabonita Sarker, was the person who we sent to Ottawa for Adventures in Citizenship. Nabonita gave a presentation on Monday about her trip to Ottawa. She had a fantastic experience, which she said changed her life. She met people from all across Canada and found it amazing how the views of people were so different from province to province. They visited various places in Ottawa, such the War Museum.
The also got to attend a Citizenship ceremony. Which she found very interesting, being born in Canada she didn't realize what people had to do to become a Canadian Citizen.
