Announcements
- This year our Half Marathon and 5 KM run will be on Sunday September 16, 2018.
- Teddy bear Picnic will be held on Sunday May 27, 2018. Our club will be responsible for the food again this year. Volunteers will be needed.
- Our speaker for Monday February 12, 2018 is Karen Wiebe, Executive Director, TJ’s Gift Foundation. TJ’s Gift Foundation as founded after Karen’s son TJ was murdered in 2003. Karen is a retired teacher, whose life took a 180 degree turn after the death of her son. She has spoken to thousands of youth throughout Manitoba, telling them TJ’s story and helping them to make the choice to be drug free. Karen believes that young people can influence their peers in a positive way and supports our youth in developing leadership skills that will provide them with these abilities. Karen also works with parents, teachers, community groups and government. Karen is a strong speaker, whose experiences and background have allowed her to have a tremendous impact on her audiences. We would like a strong turnout to hear Karen speak. Guest are welcome, the cost for the lunch will be $20.00. If you are planning on attending please let me know by 3 PM on Thursday February 8, 2018. This way we can ensure that we have room for everyone.

Please tell me how many people will be attending the meeting. We need to ensure that we will have room for everyone who would like to attend.
There will be no meeting on Monday February 19th because of the Louis Riel day.
