We were pleased to welcome Erin from Victoria Hospital Foundation
Ron Miller, our president, presided over our meeting today. Thanks to all who attended
Monday December 18th will be our last meeting this year. We would like to see as many members as possible to this meeting.
At Rotary Villa they have a "Pantry"for the tenants which is basically a Food Bank. If members would like, at our next meeting on December 18th you can bring in something for their "Pantry" to help out over the holiday season. They can use items like the following
- Can Goods - Soups, Stews, vegetables, meat, fish
- Dry Goods - pasta, macaroni
-Individual cereal boxes, soup packets
-Coffee, tea, juice boxes, hot chocolate packets
-Cooklies, treats, puddings, fruit sauce packages.
We had a very successful Half Marathon this year. A motion was made that we would donate $7,500 to Bruce Oake Foundation and $6,500 to Knowles Centre. the motion was moved by Don Fletcher, Second by Marcel. Carried.
Our Interact Club at Fort Richmond College ask us for help with a prize for the classroom that collected the most food for their charity food drive that they are having. It was Moved by Don Johanson that we donate $250 towards their pizza party. Second by Shelley. Carried.
Christmas Supper at Rotary Villa will be on December 19th at 5 PM.
In the New Year, we will need to decide if we will continue to have our meeting at Rotary Villa or move somewhere else. Please give this some thought over the Christmas break because we would like input from all of our members.
