Our membership for District 5550 is just over 1100. To maintain our district status we need to have a minimum of 1200 members. We have until the end of July to get our membership up to 1200.
Fort Richmond Collegiate will be holding their career symposium on April 16, 2026. From 8:50 AM, to Noon. Today's meeting was spent planning for this career symposium and to determine ways that we could use this event to make more people aware of Rotary and what we do. Hopefully it will lead to some inquiries and maybe membership. Our club will be providing the lunch again this year.
Long-time Rotarian Ernie Orpin passed away on March 20, 2026, he was 102 years old. Ernie was affiliated with our club for 45 years
Our District Conference will be held in Neepawa May 8 -9th 2026. Our District Governor has extended an invitation for everyone to attend. An e-mail was sent to everyone a week or so ago that gave you the website that you should access if you plan on attending.
Sioux Lookout Rotary is hosting the Canadian Wilderness Camp July 8 - 12. This camp is for people that are 18+. If you know of anyone who would like to attend please let us know.
Our Half Marathon and 5 KM fun Run is on September 27th. September 26th, Saturday, will be setup day and volunteers will be required to help with the setup.
A reminder to all Rotarians - the Rotary Learning Centre is an excellent source of information about Rotary.
Our next board meeting will be Monday April 27, 2026 at Rotary Villa.

Ted McIntosh will be our Sergeant-at-Arms for the rest out our current Rotary year.

Until further notice our meetings will be held at Rotary Villa, 528 Hudson Street, Winnipeg, MB. We had a conversation with the school next door and they have agreed that we can park at the school on Mondays when we have our meetings. They have asked that we park in the middle area, as the perimeter parking is for staff.
Rotary meeting dates for the next few months will be as follows:
Meeting Dates in April - 13th & 27th. April 27th will also be a board meetings.
Meeting Dates in May - 11th & 25th. May 25th will also be a board meeting.
Meeting Dates in June - 8th & 22nd. June 22nd will also be a board meeting.
