Manitoba Start is an employment program that connects businesses with new Canadians.  It provides employment solutions for immigrants through referrals, employability skills, ELA, Entry Program (newcomer orientation) and workshops.

Who can access this program -- new immigrants within their first three years of arrival, 18 years of age and older; those seeking settlement, language and employment support services.

The first step is Intake Services - documentation, assessments and referral process.  The second step is My Plan for Success -- next steps -- includes schedules of orientation sessions, counseling appointments and employability skills workshops.

The Manitoba Start Job Matching Unit has Workplace Liaison Co-ordinators to provide work placement and employment supports for clients of Manitoba Start.  They help to generate an effective match between clients and jobs/organizations with focus towards meaningful employment.
