Another box of stamps is on the way to the Rotary club in Victoria Australia. The club depends on our stamps. Thank you all for saving your stamps.
Rotary Adventure in Citizenship Program 2024
Last year Charleswood Rotary sent a student to Ottawa for AIC. There are just a few spots remaining if we want to do that this year. Recruitment was challenging last year so if anyone knows a student that might be interested please suggest that they apply through our club.
Call for Caregivers
President Elect Cathy is part of a study based out of the University of Calgary: Can-Protect, on healthy ageing.
While the study is still underway, there is a need for more caregiver participation in CAN-PROTECT. Caregivers include both professional caregivers (e.g., paid companions, health care aids/personal care aids, home care staff, LPNs, rehabilitation therapists, nurses, physicians, etc.) and family/friend caregivers. Caregivers can still join the study if they have previously cared for someone with dementia, they do not presently have to be a caregiver.
If you know anyone who is a caregiver for someone with dementia, please share the CAN-PROTECT study link: www.can-protect.ca. For questions about how to join, please do not hesitate to email us at CAN.PROTECT@ucalgary.ca.

We now have a meeting arranged. It will be via zoom on February 6th at 1 pm.If you are interested in joining this zoom meeting, email Cathy.skene@gmail.com.
