Shelly Dale, a seasoned public health nurse with thirty-two years of experience, has transitioned into retirement. Her passion for writing began long before retirement, as she used journaling as a healing technique. She recently published a book: “Flourishing in Retirement: A 5-Step Guide to Joy for the Post-Career Woman” Consider it a comprehensive resource on retirement joy. It combines practical advice, firsthand experiences, and evidence-based insights, guiding readers toward a fulfilling post-career life. . Shelly has facilitated classes for the Wellness institute in Winnipeg on topics such as “Getting Better Together” and “Total Brain Health.” In addition, she has facilitated women’s workshops and given presentations on the five steps discussed in her book in settings such as the Spring Convention of Toastmasters. She is also part of the Charleswood 55plus organization through which she enjoys activities such as creative writing. She lives in Charleswood with her husband Terry. Both dancing and her granddaughter Lilliana are among her many joys in life! Her mission?
