Fundraisers
Portage Rotary Club prides itself on the numerous fundraisers and charitable events held annually, generating many thousands of dollars that go back into our local community. Some of our more recent fundraisers include:
- NHL Alumni events, having featured Montreal Canadiens, Boston Bruins and just last year, Winnipeg Jets Alumni for a dinner and hockey game against member of the community and Portage Terriers Alumni
- Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Gala
- Rotary Peace Ride
- Dirt Dash
- Meat Pack Sales

- Canada Day Pancake Breakfast
- Rotary Pond Hockey Championships
- Rotary Casino Nights
Every year, as a "service to the community", and in celebration of Canada Day, the Rotary Club of Portage la Prairie hosts a pancake breakfast. It's a fantastic start to a day full of celebrations and fun! Find us at Stride Place, where we'll be "borrowing" Champ's Corner canteen to cook, prepare and serve you breakfast! For just $5 per plate, enjoy two pancakes, two sausages and your choice of a juice box or coffee! No breakfast is complete without the essentials, including butter and syrup as well.
Breakfast usually begins at 8am and runs until 11am, unless supplies run out earlier. The food is partially donated, courtesy of Homestead Co-op, while the Rotary club also contributes a portion. Funds raised help cover those food costs, usually allowing the club to break even as a result.
