Rotarians from the Rotary Clubs of Airdrie, Cochrane and Brooks invested $33,000 CAD to build 10 metal fabricated homes for some of the poorest families in El Salvador. The team was led by Shelter Canada, who has built 2300 homes in the country over the last 15+ years. It was a hard working group effort by Rotarians, Shelter teams and locals all working side by side in 38 degree heat - and one of the most heartwarming experiences of a lifetime. Highly recommended to all who ever wonder if giving a hand up to those in need makes a difference - it does!
