Jen Harbour told the Rotary Club of Airdrie today at Rotary’s regular Tuesday lunch time meeting about the successes of the recent Airdrie Rotary Festival of Performing Arts, which was sponsored by Rotary.
The total number of performers over the eleven days was 1573, performing 444 numbers to 2713 people in the audience. The performances were adjudicated by ten judges over 32 sessions. Our thanks go out to the 381 volunteers who help the board members and contributed to this enormous success.
As a result of the festival, twenty soloists are being sent to the provincial festival, and 62 scholarships were awarded to the value of just under $5000.
