Chris Aceituno
The CCI Puppy Raising Program at Folsom Prison

Chris was the driving force for establishment of a puppy raising program inside the Folsom Women's Prison. Several inmates care for and train puppies for Canine Companions for Independence for about one year.  The program not only provides very well-trained pups for CCI, but it provides inspiration and more for these women who will eventually return to society.  The presence of the pups also improves morale, and breaks down racial and gang barriers inside the prison.  This is a really inspiring program that you won't want to miss!
