MARCH 27: all Covington Rotarians and families and friends are invited to join us at the New Orleans PELICANS vs the Sacramento KINGS game. 7pm. Tickets will be available on-line directly from the Pelicans as part of the ROTARY NIGHT. We hope to be joined by Rotarians and families and friends from New Orleans Riverbend, Mandeville,Carrollton, New Orleans, Metairie, Metairie Sunrise, and St. Charles Parish. All of our Youth Exchange students will be there, too!
MARCH 28: ROTARY DAY @ Pontchartrain Vineyards! 5pm - till...??? We have 1/2 price tickets available at each club meeting or you can buy a ticket for $10 at the gate. We want to gather as many people as we can under the banner of ROTARY for the evening. Rotarians should wear some Rotary gear. BYO picnic items and chairs, etc. (no outside alcohol or pets). MARCH 29: Bike & Brewery Tour along the Tammany Trace. Meet at the Covington Trailhead at 10am. Start with a tour of Covington Bewhouse; then Abita Brewery/lunch at the Brew Pub, then on to Chafunkta in Mandeville. Bring your own bike or rent from Pat's Bike Shop in Covington. No cost.
MARCH 30: Vocational Day -- we will match the members of the GSE team with local companies and ask Rotarians to assist with some transportation and lunch. Our guests are: and events planner, a construction manager, a tax lawyer, a science teacher, and a business consultant. Host families are asked to provide a home-cooked dinner for their guests that night.
MARCH 31: Special Club Meeting: GSE Team will present. After the meeting, we will deliver the team to the West Bank and NO Riverbend clubs.
